Day 01: Arriving into Cartagena in the afternoon. Reception at the airport and transferred to a boutique hotel located in the heart of the old city. Afternoon free to enjoy the historic city center. You will have the opportunity to visit the museum of modern art, explore the Grafitti of Getsemani, do a bit of shopping at the former prison Las bovedas which today is one of the most vibrant markets in the city, and finish the day having a drink at café del mar while watching the sunset.

Day 02: Learn about Cartagena’s history from a bilingual guide on a private tour of this lively city. Transfers between attractions. This trip visits the clock tower, Plaza Bolivar, and the Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas. You will also take in the sweeping views of the city from the hilltop Convento De La Popa and enjoy a walking tour from San Pedro Claver Church to Santo Domingo Church. Afternoon relaxing at the beach/pool area in the hotel with a spa experience available on this day.

Day 03: Enjoying an unforgettable day aboard a catamaran traveling from Cartagena to the Rosario Islands. You will snorkel in an amazing coral reef, relax on pristine white beaches and experience an underwater kingdom in the crystal-clear waters. Also traveling to Isla Grande, which is a beautiful untouched beach. Returning in the afternoon, the rest of the day free.

 

This evening you will dine in one of the top restaurants in Cartagena.

Day 04:  Step outside the city walls and experience the vibrant life in the barrios of Cartagena you don’t see in the tourist brochures. Accompanied by a born-and-bred local, you’ll visit the city’s eclectic food market, try some exotic fruits and shake hands with our favorite characters.

Afterward, head to a fishing village just outside of Cartagena for a special canoe ride through mangroves, stopping for a traditional lunch of fried fish, coconut rice and patacones. End the day with a humbling visit to a social initiative.

In the evening, head out to a local salsa club for a great night of dancing. Depending on what you’re looking for, we’ll recommend some of Cartagena’s best places.

Day 05: The last day, as usual breakfast at the hotel and morning free. In the afternoon (depending on flight time) collected to the airport and end of the tour.
