ITINERARY 

 

Day 1 - Bogota - Monserrate Mountain 

 

Your Colombian relax starts here. Collected from the airport for a private transfer from the airport to the hotel. After a bit of time free after the flight and lunch before being collected from the hotel for a tour of Monseratte. Monserrate is located at 3.150 meters / 10.335 feet above sea level and has become a well know symbol of Bogotá that can either be hiked, visited by train or Cable car to the top. Once at the top you will see the gorgeous Sanctuary “El señor caido de Monserrate“ a special sculpture to search for peace and reconciliation. Returning back to the hotel at 5 pm and the rest of the afternoon free.

Day 2 - Flying to Cartagena and afternoon free 

 

Flying early in the morning to Cartagena. Reception at the airport and accommodation in a boutique hotel located in the heart of the old city. Afternoon free to enjoy the historic city center.

Day 3 - Private walking tour around the old walled city of Cartagena.

 

Collected from the hotel for a private walking tour around the old walled city of Cartagena. This is the best introduction to Cartagena, the walled city, a UNESCO World Heritage site is famous for its legends, beauty and old colonial stone walls. You will be accompanied by a guide to provide an understanding and to learn about the origins of the so-called "crown jewel of the coast", the Caribbean storehouse for all of the gold and other resources the conquerors stole from the continent. On the walking tour, you will relive the battles and victories of the Europeans, the empowerment and influence of the afro cultures, explore the narrow colorful colonial streets, see the contrast of antique -modern areas and many more.  Afternoon relaxing on the beach/pool area in the hotel and a full body massage available for each client.

Day 4 - Visiting the Rosario Islands via Catamaran.

 

Enjoying an unforgettable day aboard a catamaran. Cartagena to the Rosario Islands. Snorkel in an amazing coral reef and experience an underwater kingdom in the crystal-clear waters. Travel to Isla Grande, which is a beautiful untouched beach and relax on the pristine beaches. Heading back in the afternoon. This evening you will have included dinner at one of the top restaurants in town.

Day 5: Flight from Cartagena to Providencia via San Andres.

 

Checking into the hotel upon arrival with a welcome cocktail and the afternoon will be enjoying and exploring the surrounding beaches and the charm of the island while watching the sunset.

Day 6: Boat tour around the turquoise water of McBean National Park.

 

Today you will be collected from the hotel for a 3.5-hour tour where you will snorkel in the turquoise waters of McBean National Park, visit the 3 Brother's Cay to see the home of the Frigate Birds before traveling to Crab Cay to enjoy swimming with turtles. Afternoon heading back to the hotel to relax and enjoy the beaches.

Day 7: Hiking to "The Peak", the highest point in Providencia.

 

Hike to "the peak". The Peak (El Pico) is the highest point (360 meters/1,181 feet) on Providencia, and from this mountaintop the 360-degree views are stunning. This hike takes about 1.5 hours to the top and under an hour down. The path to The Peak begins in the middle of the island and meanders along relatively well-marked trails through tropical rainforest and tropical dry forest. You’ll likely come across lizards, cotton trees, and maybe a friendly dog who will follow you up to the top and back.

 

From the top, you’ll be able to see the barrier reef that extends for 32 kilometers off of the east coast of the island. This reef is the second-longest in the Caribbean and is part of the Parque Nacional Natural Old Providence McBean Lagoon.

 

Afterward heading to the beach of Mazanilho and its famous reggae bar, Roland's Bar for some much-deserved coconut cocktails and reggae to finish of the last night of the trip.

Day 8: Flying back to Bogota via San Andres.

 

Flight back from Providencia to San Andres island and connecting to Bogota in the late morning/mid-afternoon for the final flight home. End of our services.
