Day 1 - Arriving into Bogota - Monserrate mountain 

 

Your Colombian adventure starts here. Collected from the airport for a private transfer to the hotel. After a bit of time to relax, collected from the hotel for a tour of Monseratte. Monserrate is located at 3.150 meters / 10.335 feet above sea level and has become a well know symbol of Bogotá that can either be hiked, visited by train or Cable car to the top. Once at the top you will see the gorgeous Sanctuary “El señor caido de Monserrate“ a special sculpture to search for peace and reconciliation. Returning back to the hotel and rest of the afternoon free.

Day 2 - Trip to Salt Catheral - Raquira - Villa de Leyva

 

Collected from the hotel at 7:30 am. Transfer to the first stop in Zipaquira, and visiting the Salt Cathedral.The trip will then go to Raquira to view the beautiful buildings and typical art, known for its high quality and its artisanal abundance 

 

Heading to Villa de Leyva by 3:00 pm to have the rest of the day to explore the beautiful town.

Day 3 - Villa de Leyva - Bogota - Salento

 

After breakfast, returning back to Bogota to catch a flight to Pereira, stopping at a few of the popular locations along the way. Upon arrival into Bogota, transfer to the airport for a flight to Pereira and transfer to Salento.

Day 4 - Hiking in the Valle de Cocora (Home of the tallest wax palms)

 

After breakfast, catching a jeep from the center to Valle de Cocora. The Valle de Cocora on the doorstep of Salento is a majestic valley and the perfect place to "lose yourself" for a few hours. The valley is home to the wax palms, the national tree of Colombia and the world's tallest variety of palm trees, measuring at up to 60 meters. It is the wax palms which make this location truly special and can be explored by either hiking, biking or horseriding. Heading back to the hotel in the afternoon.

​Day 5 - Visiting a coffee plantation, in the afternoon horse riding to Santa Rita Waterfall.

 

Learning the process of coffee production. Today you will visit a coffee plantation near Salento. The tour will provide an in-depth description of the process of coffee viewing all of the steps and the chance to try the best coffee in the world. Heading back to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon collected from the hotel for a horse ride to a beautiful waterfall, crossing rivers, and abandoned train tunnels.

​Day 6 - Transfer from Salento to Pereira and flight to Medellin.

 

Early transfer from Salento to Pereira to catch a flight to Medellin. Transfer from the airport to the hotel and rest of the afternoon free.

​Day 7 - Private trip to Guatape

 

Collected from the hotel for a trip to Guatape. This is a beautiful town set on a lake around 2 hours from Medellin. The first stop will be at one of the areas' top attractions, Penol Rock (La Piedra del Penol). There, you'll have the opportunity to climb more than 700 stairs to reach the top of this incredible landmark and enjoy sweeping vistas of Guatape Lake and the surrounding mountains. You will then go into Guatape for lunch before the tour guide will lead you on an informative historical walk through the picturesque pueblo of Guatape, visiting Calle de Los Recuerdos, Plaza de los Zocalos and the town square and historic cathedral. Before heading back to Medellin there will be time to walk the streets and any shopping.

​Day 8 - Medellin City Tour - Afternoon flight to Cartagena

 

Collected in the morning for a tour of the city. This is a 4-hour tour which combines a mix of traditional locations like Botero Square, Downtown, Typical Markets, City Hills, Museums, Pueblito Paisa, Metro System, Historical Sites, Local Food Restaurants and unique places at the communities like the famous “comuna 13”, where you will have the chance to interact with the friendly locals and real city life.

 

Afternoon catching a flight to Cartagena. Transfer to the hotel and evening free.

​Day 9 - Cartagena City Tour

 

Collected from the hotel for a private walking tour around the old walled city of Cartagena. This is the best introduction to Cartagena, the walled city, a UNESCO World Heritage site is famous for its legends, beauty and old colonial stone walls. You will be accompanied by a guide to provide an understanding and to learn about the origins of the so-called "crown jewel of the coast", the Caribbean storehouse for all of the gold and other resources the conquerors stole from the continent. On the walking tour, you will relive the battles and victories of the Europeans, the empowerment and influence of the afro cultures, explore the narrow colorful colonial streets, see the contrast of antique -modern areas and many more. 

 

Heading back to the hotel in the afternoon.

​Day 10 - Exploring the Rosario Islands

 

Enjoying an unforgettable day aboard a catamaran. Cartagena to the Rosario Islands. Snorkel in an amazing coral reef and experience an underwater kingdom in the crystal-clear waters. Travel to Isla Grande, which is a beautiful untouched beach and relax on the pristine beaches.

 

Returning in the afternoon.
